Conveyancer Services

Helping conveyancers deliver value to their clients, while establishing the tools for a long-term digital relationship.

Completion Logbooks

Give your buyers a digital property logbook as part of the completion process:

  • Deliver all post-completion documents in a pre-filed digital tool.
  • Establish the basis for your clients to manage their home in an increasingly digital world.
  • Include a 'digital business card' to maintain  online contact with clients post sale
  • Establish the basis of long term relationship and on sale of other services.
  • Can be integrated with your existing CRM to ensure you are first port of call when they next need legal services.

See our 'Why Logbooks?' video below to see why your practice should be setting up logbooks for your conveyancing clients:

The 'Why Logbooks?' webinar was given by Chimni's Nigel Walley in March as part of National Conveyancing Week 2024.

It explored Digital Property Logbooks in the evolving conveyancing process.

It was a demonstration and discussion of digital property logbooks in the new digital conveyancing process. It included demonstrations of property logbooks for Buying & Selling, logbooks developed specially for New Build properties, for Buy-To-Let clients and for Historic & Listed properties.

The session showed the impact of logbooks on both selling and buying.  We discussed the benefits of conveyancers setting up logbooks for clients and the wider benefits for a conveyancing company.

Vendor 'Set Up'

Delivering the new forms of 'upfront information', a logbook can help vendors 'get their ducks in a row' by:

  • helping them gather all required documentation
  • auto completing property information forms that can be shared with you and their estate agent
  • integrating with your CRM system to pass over information
  • smoothing the process of handover of information between vendor and buyer

FAQs

  • Isn't Chimni just more software?

No.  If you give your clients a Chimni logbook at the beginning or the end of the home sales process, you are helping create a new kind of 'digital asset' that will simplify their lives and create value for you and them.

  • We already use CRM system?

That is great! Chimni is designed to integrate with most Conveyancer CRM programmes. But you don't need to integrate to get going with Logbooks as Chimni can work with you and your clients directly.

  • We aren't 'digital' enough to be able to use this?

The Chimni team can help your team digitise documents and prepare any information for upload into Chimni.  Speak to one of the Chimni team to run through the process.

  • What happens to the logbook in the future?

A Chimni logbook is intended to pass on with the property to each new owner. If your buyers decide to sell in the future, the logbook is designed to become part of any 'sales pack' and can integrate with conveyancing systems.
